Mint.com Merges with Intuit

Mint.com is a FREE personal finance/budget page that helps people consolidate and manage their finances. I use it and find it very very helpful. You can add any online account to the site including mortgages, loans, credit cards, retirement accounts, etc. It will then automatically go online and give you an up to date balance. I have been using the site for probably a littler over a year now and would encourange everyone to at least check it out if they have not done so.

I beleive this merger with Intuit (for a reported $170 million in cash) with seem pretty seemless for the user. Obviously this is a smart move for Mint and I also think it will be beneficial for Intuit. This will help Intuit gain market share in the personal and small business finance market. The deal is still not finalized but should help both companies to grow.
